Training Specialist - Triumph (DH23)

Salary: $10.64/hour

Job Type:  Non Exempt Part Time 

Hours: Monday – Friday (8:30 AM – 3:15 PM)

Hours per pay period: 67.5 hours

Location: Spring Dell Center, Inc.,  La Plata, MD

Responsibilities and Duties

As a Spring Dell Center employee you will play a critical role in caring for older adults with disabilities, supporting their emotional, social, intellectual, and physical needs. You will also get to work with a team who has the same goal, and you will have the opportunity in developing and executing innovative ideas about how to best support the older adults within our program in the community. The potential candidate must be creative, organized, motivated, have the ability to problem solve, work independently, and with initiative. 

Additionally, the applicant will be responsible for implementing goals, completing modified discovery packets, assisting with meals and personal care, as well as planning meaningful community experiences for the people support. You will also be responsible for transporting people to and from activities in the community.

        Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Willingness to lead the Triumph Room in a structured and professional manner.
  • Implementing, monitoring, and documenting progress of goals as outlined in the Individual Plan.
  • Planning activities around areas that may peak the interest of the people we support for employment, volunteering and community engagement, providing the opportunity to develop vocational, community and social skills for the people we support.

Qualifications and Skills

       Minimum Requirements:

  • Clean driving record
  • 2 years driving experience
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs.
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Experience working with disabled adults preferred
  • Basic Computer Skills
  • Advanced Computer Skills preferred
