A Part-Time position for a Personal Support Team Floater is available Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 3:00 PM. Hours may fluctuate depending on the daily assignment. This position will support a variety of adults with intellectual disabilities, ranging from energetic and out-going, to shy and reserved. We are looking for someone that will embrace the challenge of searching for empowering experiences by identifying and engaging in community integration or employment activities.
Duties include, but are not limited to, achieving personal, social and vocational goals, monitoring/documenting progress and assisting with personalized plans. We are searching for a person that will welcome being an active role model, loves challenges, is observant, compassionate, caring, energetic and spontaneous (when needed). The applicant will also need show creativity by developing new experiences daily as well as learn the characteristics and effective methods of supporting a variety of people. You will need to arrange an activity/employment schedule based on a plan created by the person supported. Candidates must be able to collect valuable data on a daily basis both written and verbally, capable of following a routine, promote choices, share excitement and has positive language/social interaction skills.

Preference will be given to the person who can demonstrate the abilities to be creative, organized, motivated and a self-starter. Successful candidates will have the ability to schedule outings and activities; as well as provide assistance in vocational endeavors taken on by the person supported. They will also be inclined to problem solve and work independently as they assist people in achieving their personal, social and vocational goals.
Duties Include but not limited to:
Assisting with (IP) Individual’s Personalized Plan.
Being aware of circumstances where safety could be at risk.
Planning activities that may peak the interest of the person you support for employment, volunteering, and community engagement.
Planning activities which will provide the opportunity to develop vocational, community, and social skills.
Actively participating in all aspects of person’s supports.
Coordinate supports in the community 5 days per week.
Qualifications and Skills
Ability to lift 50 lbs. or more.
Clean driving record with 2 years driving experience.
Basic Computer Skills.
Experience working with disabled adults preferred.
High School diploma or GED.
